Looking Forward

Well we went for our 2nd appointment with the RE, but he had decided to extend his holiday by a few days and the receptionist had forgotten how to use a phone. I was so disappointed. Any way managed to see him 3 days later and it went well, I think.
He thinks it is worth a shot at another biopsy so that’s what we will do.
He was pretty adamant that if they find anything that we should freeze then do an ICSI later. But as it is a complete shot in the dark and the last biopsy my husband will do and that the one my Husband had 10 years ago found nothing we want to do an ICSI at the same time. This way even if they only find one it won't be lost when defrosted. He still wasn’t keen to put me through an IVF cycle without knowing if we would need it or not, so we asked whether we could have a donor on stand by just to be on the safe side.
This, he said was not common practice so he would have to find out from other Dr’s.
So we are waiting to hear what the plan is, either biopsy/ ICSI/donor backup or just biopsy. Either way the biopsy will be done in October somtime.
When we left we were both smiling, this is the first time we have felt excited about starting a family.
We are both looking forward to trying for a family even though we know it will be hard.
